Scope of the Journal

Mineralogia publishes original papers in the scope of widely understood mineralogical, petrological and geochemical sciences, including environmental sciences, applied and experimental mineralogy, etc. All papers are reviewed and the author is obliged to make corrections suggested by a reviewer or give, in written form, reasons for not doing so. Additionally, the Editorial Board reserves the right to select the submitted materials and - after contacting the author - introduce all necessary changes and shortenings of the text.

Original research and review papers (both up to 15000 words), letters (a short research paper, up to 3000 words, short notes (a brief communication, e.g., a report of new interesting occurrences of minerals, new analytical methods, fieldwork discoveries; up to 1500 words), book reviews, and letters to editors with comments on papers published in Mineralogia. Authors of larger manuscripts are asked to contact the Editor-in-Chief before submission.
